What We Believe

The core beliefs of the Youth Ministry are found in our flag:

  • White - God is holy and we are not. Our wrong choices separate us from Him.

  • Cross - Christ came to earth and died for our sins to offer us a relationship with God.

  • Blue - To accept this gift, we must devote our lives to God through Jesus.

  • Fish - Once we find hope through Jesus our job is to bring this message of hope to...

  • Black - A world that is separated from God and faces an eternity without Him.

Whether it be Bible Study, Camp, Mission Work, or Game Night, everything we do can be traced back to these truths.

Weekly Youth Activities

  • Regular Sunday Worship

We encourage youth to meet with the entire church for worship. Meeting together, across generations, is the best way to grow a church body. It also teaches our older members something new and reminds our younger members of the rich heritage we have in Christ.

Join with us as we sing, give, and learn together on Sundays at 10:30 am in the Sanctuary.

  • Sunday School

Students meet at 9:15 on Sunday mornings in the classrooms behind the main Refuge area. We'd love to have you join us for Bible Study.

  • Wednesday Night @Refuge

The entire youth group meets together in the main Refuge area for fellowship, games, and a devotional message. Come hang out with us and bring a friend at 6pm on Wednesdays.

  • Sunday Night D-Groups

At 5pm on Sunday Nights, students meet to learn how the Bible, over 2,000 years old, is still relevant today.  D-Groups help students to connect with each other and grow in Christ.

The month of March, students and leaders will focus on Missions.  What does it mean to live a life mission minded?  During the month, we will provide oppurtunities for students (and parents) to help serve a mission or ministry in our area.  Stay posted for more details coming soon on our MissionMarch for 2015.

  • D-Now (April 24-26)

  • CelebrationGraduation

Graduating high school is a big deal.  And we are proud of our students that make it.  To celebrate their success, we want to spend time during May to recognize each student and their accomplishments.

Attention high school seniors: please get with Derrick so you can be included in the festivites.

  • Summer Mission Trip (June 2-6)

This summer our student ministry will be hosting a mission trip to New Orleans.  We will be working with church plants and ministry teams around the New Orleans area to serve the community.  From spreading the Word to handing out popsicles, we will be reaching needs physcially, spiritually, and emotionally for those in the area.   More details to follow here and on social media.
